Is Therapy For Me?

Therapy can be helpful if your struggles are getting in the way of enjoying life or it can helpful for self-growth and pursuing goals. Either way, therapy involves understanding what is blocking you from having a more fulfilling and joyful life. If you are on the fence about going to therapy, it doesn’t hurt to give it a try to see if it works for you and to find out if it is helpful.

Even if you feel that a particular struggle or difficulty may be small or unimportant, I encourage you to still reach out. This smaller issue may point us to some deeper pain that needs to be understood and healed. And if you are in a tremendous amount of emotional pain that seems too overwhelming, it is even more important for this pain to be explored, understood, and processed. It will feel less overwhelming the more it is talked about, heard, and understood. It is important to find a therapist who is the right fit; it makes all the difference to talk with someone you feel comfortable with and with whom you have a trusting relationship.

Meeting a therapist in person can be extremely helpful for deciding whether or not the therapist may be the right fit for you. It can also take few sessions to determine suitability and to start feeling comfortable with the therapist. I would love to speak with you and meet with you to see if we are a good fit.

It takes tremendous strength and courage to take the first step to reach out for support. Thank you for visiting my page; feel free to contact me with any questions, concerns, or for scheduling an appointment.
